Kanoa Igarashi Swaps Waves for Fairways – Signs with TaylorMade

March 3rd, 2025

Looks like Kanoa Igarashi isn’t content with just dominating the surf – now he’s coming for the golf course too. Golf equipment brand TaylorMade has officially welcomed him to “Team TaylorMade,” because apparently, excelling at one sport just wasn’t enough for him.

As part of the deal, TaylorMade will be supplying Kanoa with top-notch golf gear, including the brand-new “Heritage-90” collection, which blends vintage vibes with modern performance. This collection drops on February 28, so now you, too, can look effortlessly cool while shanking balls into the rough.

Kanoa’s best golf score? 80. Not bad for a guy who spends most of his time riding waves instead of reading greens. With his signature dedication to high performance, he’s now set to make golf look just as stylish as surfing.

The Heritage-90 Collection – Because Nostalgia Sells

The Heritage-90 collection is TaylorMade’s way of saying, “Remember the ‘90s? Well, now you can wear them.” It combines functionality (so you don’t sweat through your polo) with a throwback 1990s TaylorMade logo and some bold bandana patterns inspired by the paisley-and-floral craze of the era. Because nothing says serious golfer like wearing something your dad probably rocked at a Pearl Jam concert.

The collection sticks to classic white and navy tones but spices things up with all-over bandana print jackets and shorts, just in case you want to make a fashion statement while three-putting. And to keep things extra fresh, they’ve thrown in vibrant turquoise as the season’s color, because why not?

Kanoa on Golf, TaylorMade, and Looking Cool While Playing Both

“I started playing golf when I was 12 or 13. It’s a nice break from surfing, and honestly, it keeps me from going completely insane. The first club I ever used was the R9 driver, and I remember thinking the logo looked sick – which, let’s be real, is the most important thing when you’re a kid.”

“For me, whether it’s surfing or golf, the gear has to be high-performance. If my equipment is top-notch – whether it’s a surfboard, a club, a wetsuit, or apparel – I know I can perform my best, even on days when conditions suck. And let’s face it, if I’m going to be terrible at something, I at least want to look good doing it.”
